Most of what leaves my cold store for Australia is dairy, so certificate wording is my week.
The first stage of Australia's dairy review closed on 31 August. A permit issued before that date carries the old conditions and the reviewed ones together, good for two years. A permit issued after carries only the reviewed set.
Two things move between them. Country freedom from foot and mouth is no longer read off the world animal health body's recognition: sourcing and manufacturing countries both have to sit on the Australian director's list. That list moves. Greece came off it in March. Separately, the lumpy skin list condition is being dropped for dairy.
My reading is that a certificate written to the old wording answers half the permit. Has anyone been told which column the border reads?
