look up date of importation. it is not one event. truck or rail, wheels over the line. boat, the ship reaching port limits to unlade. i would stop loading now and promise the customer nothing about a late one.

My favourite kind of rule. Monday the box is worth an extra fifty percent. Tuesday it is worth nothing at all, and I am the one holding it on a chassis while everybody thinks.
Three proclamations went into the register this week. From 12:01 eastern on September 29, certain Canadian alcohol, dairy and motorcycles are barred from coming in at all. Anything that got across before that date and has not cleared yet just pays the fifty percent like before.
So the date that matters is when the box crossed, not when the broker files. Nobody has published what happens to the one that crosses late. Back north, into bond, destroyed? And who is paying for the equipment under it while that gets decided?
